Grow Gorgeous Volumising Full Bodied Volume Shampoo Review* (£15)

In a bid to constantly streamline my collection of beauty products, I find myself getting through a fair few beauty products that, previously, I'd feature in an empties post. Not wanting to hoard my empty packaging nowadays, but still wanting to document my thoughts, I thought that I'd reintroduce quick, snappy, reviews of the products I use up, that would otherwise slip through the blogging net.

I had initial high hopes for this but unfortunately have been unimpressed by the results. Following the directions as stated, and being fairly capable in applying fake tan in the past I had hoped for a streak free tan but unfortunately was left disappointed. The tan, that you apply onto wet skin (with the shower off), is clear in colour so gives you no indication to where you've applied the product or areas you have missed. The tan then takes about 12 hours to develop in which you are left with evidence of streaky dark tan lines alongside white pale skin where the tan hasn't stuck (photographed). Not advisably, a couple of hours after applying the tan I used a body oil on the upper part of my legs which, in essence, removed the tan before it had chance to develop, at which point the biscuity fake tan scent also develops - so if you are to try this tan, definitely avoid moisturisers and oils post application. One thing this does do, remotely like its claims, is moisturise the skin, or at least doesn't dry it out, however after the streaky result I have been left with on first use, I shall stick to lotion to moisturise and other fake tans should I fancy a golden glow.

This was the first Micellar Solution I had tried and was very disappointed. Unfortunately it took far too many cotton pads to remove only part of my makeup and in doing so left a residue on my skin instead of leaving it soothed and toned. I also think that this broke me out instead of clearing up impurities.

The packaging and price I am not a fan of either. For around £5, this cleansing water lasted a few weeks at most and the rectangular bottle and plastic cap made application difficult. It also meant lots of product was wasted.That being said, this was gentle on my sensitive skin and eyes but gentle strokes alone were not enough and rubbing my skin to get my makeup off was therefore necessary. I shall not be repurchasing and instead shall continue to buy my much preferred Garnier alternative.

Late to the band wagon again, I recently picked up the Rimmel Apocalips in the shade 'Apocaliptic'. I honestly don't know what was coming over me picking up the brightest shade from the range and the one that suits me the least but nevertheless I thought that I would review the uber-hyped lip laquer.

Dissapointingly,  I cannot get this to work for me. This lip-stick- lip-gloss hybrid is highly pigmented, so much so that you can't sheer it out and this makes it difficult for me to wear as I find it is far too much for me to wear this on its own and I feel much like a clown, not impressed Rimmel.

Despite being glossy and not drying when applying this, this glossiness can only be achieved when applying a few layers which means you not only have to try and carefully apply the pigmented colour once but twice which is an incredibly hard task as if it goes anywhere outside your lips it is a pain in the neck to get off.

Because of this you would expect it to be long lasting. Wrong. This bleeds around your lips almost instantly and if you even think of eating or drinking you can guarantee that the apocalips will get all over your glass and more than likely all around your face.

Unfortunately this over-hyped product is just not for me and means that I have wasted my pennies on something that is now gathering dust after 2 uses so if somebody wants to buy this off me who likes the Apocalips then do feel free to contact me but I will be sticking to the Rimmel Lipsticks in future and shall be resisting future blogger hype!

It's been a while since I wrote a NARR post so felt it perfect timing to review the Rimmel 1000 Kisses Lasting Tint Pen. As much as I love most of the Rimmel products I've tried ( I'm thinking of doing a Rimmel Best and Worst Post soon) I was really let down with this.

Like the majority of felt tip style lip pens that are out on the market (or that I have read reviews of anyway), this lip pen has extremely poor pigmentation and even when layers and layers are applied, the shade I own (Endless Blossom) hardly shows up on the lips, making it pointless applying it in the first place. In addition, the pen itself is drying on the lips and clings to dry patches. Even with the added balm, the balm itself is drying and doesn't help to enhance the colour or improve the wear as the colour can't be seen anyway.

That being said, I do like the concept of a felt tip pen applicator as I feel if you could see the colour you were applying, this would make application much easier.

Overall I do not like this lip products. I am unsure as to whether mine was just a faulty product/colour or the line is all as bad as this but I will definitely not be buying anymore.

Having not written one of these posts since August, I thought I would write another review of a product I have not been keen on.

I purchased this dry shampoo after hearing many rave reviews of it. I don't know if it is just this 'scent' that is to blame for the awful dry shampoo or whether the whole range is like this but I won't be buying more to find out put it that way!

This not only doesn't do anything to greasy hair, not soaking up oil like your regular dry shampoos, but makes your hair feel more lank, weighed down and greasy that it was before you used it making it very pointless using it in the first place! The scent is also not to my taste either as it doesn't seem to be very 'fresh' as I usually like.

Overall I have concluded that I shall be returning to my good ol' Batiste in the near future!
