Whats in my Makeup Bag? Holiday 2013 Edition
15:00
For those that read my last post you may know that last week I spent my time sunning myself in the delight that is the Algarve, Portugal. Being the make up lover that I am, I of course couldn't jet off out of the country without my make up bag so it is this that I will be sharing today.
When going away, I always try to organise my makeup bag and really think about condensing my daily makeup routine so restricted myself to 15 items in the end, each of which I used most evenings.
For my base I used either my MAC Face and Body ( which I took in a small sample pot) for foundation or my VIE Mineral Foundation. Depending on the coverage I wanted, I would then top my face up with my Collection Concealer or sometimes just wore this alone set with my Rimmel Complexion Perfection Powder.
For cheeks - blusher and bronzer - I alternated with three products; my Accessorize Pearl Sands Duo Bronzer, my Barbara Daily Blusher and my MAC Soft and Gentle MSF.
As for eyes I kept it simple and used a freebie eyeshadow quad from Estee Lauder where I alternated the four shades or used Soft and Gentle as an eyeshadow, all using the MUA Pro Base as a primer and using the Max Factor Masterpiece Max Mascara for my eye lashes and Technic Natural Lashes Clear Mascara for my brows.
Finally, for lips I alternated 3 products - my Revlon Lip Butter in Berry Smoothie, my UD Lip Junkie in Naked 2 and a new and exciting purchase, my MAC Lipstick in Modesty. The purchase of the latter meant that my lip gloss was neglected at night to wear Modesty and the Revlon Lip Butter was my daytime lip colour.
To complete my evening makeup look I sprayed my face with the MUA Fixing Mist and I was good to go! I found this was the perfect amount of make up to take away and found each item worked well together.
