Review: MUA Make Up Academy Pro Base Fixing Mist Setting Spray Review

MUA isn't a brand I have tried too many products from but is a brand that is constantly on my radar with many bloggers frequently raving about their products. For those that saw my mini superdrug haul recently you may have seen that I added the mua pro base fixing mist to my basket and have been giving it a trial lately, I have also recently started to trial their eye primer so a review for that will come shortly!
Back to the fixing mist ... MUA claims that this fixes your makeup all day long and will hold it in place. I am always skeptical about things like this because I'm never overly sure how much they improve the wear of your makeup, nevertheless I gave it a go!
For the price, £5, you get 60ml of product which is a great sized bottle. It comes with a spray pump that evenly distributes the spray however I'd advise you to try and hold it as far from your face as possible and apply in three lines on your face to ensure all of your face is 'set' as the spray can concentrate in one place.
I do feel that this does make a difference to the lasting power of my makeup and the overall appearance. Where I can get my makeup to last the whole day without this, you can definitely notice a difference in the quality of the makeup at the end of the day, for example - for my Prom I applied my makeup at 4pm and at 3am it looked virtually identical and where it had started to fade, it looked natural. This totally meets its claims of giving up to 8 hours fixing power, especially through lots of dancing and walking long distances in heels!
The most impressive thing about this is how it helps the wear of my eyeshadows. Many of you may know that I had problems with my MAC eyeshadows for ages. No matter what brush, application or primer I used, the shadows would crease within minutes, with this however I can wear them for 7 hours without creasing - amazing! I think the fact that I can now get use out of my unused MAC eyeshadows now is brilliant as I had contemplated getting rid of them - thank you MUA!
It does claim to moisture hydrate too - Im not overly sure about how much it does this but my makeup doesn't look flakey with this so it must be doing something?
Overall I am very impressed with this and for £5 I shall continue to use this as - touch wood- I don't think this has broken me out!
What have you tried from MUA? Have you tried this?
