Most Used, Loved and Repurchased Beauty Products of 2015
12:302015 has been quite a year by all accounts and certainly one of much loved, used and repurchased beauty products. Today I thought I'd share some of my favourite most used, loved and repurchased products of 2015 and give you some ideas of things to try in 2016.
Treacle Moon Coconut Shower Gel / REVIEW
After I'd finally used up my PR sample of this, I went right to Waitrose to buy another bottle. For £3 this really does last for ages and smells amazing! You need the tiniest amount on a loofer for bubbles galore and having received a couple more bottles for christmas, I'll be sure to have a years supply! Chanel Coco Mademoiselle Eau de Parfum
I received this as an 18th birthday present last December and despite wearing this most days, still has a good third left. This is by far my favourite fragrance from the high street and didn't reach for anything else throughout the year as I love it so much.
L' Oreal Infallible Matte Foundation
Back in the summer, this foundation was raved on and on about and I finally caved and glad I did. This is a great foundation that is fair enough ( hooray!) for my pale skin and lasts well on the skin. This, for me, works best used alone ( without a primer) and using a sponge ( the Real Techniques Blending Sponge) , this way its gives a natural (non cakey) matte finish that doesn't require a powder but will last all day. A great alternative to my other favourite ( and completely opposite) MAC Face and Body foundation that I'd be sure to repurchase. Collection Cream Puff Lip Cream
When I won this in a giveaway last year I wasn't expecting to like this as much as I do. I have this in the shade 'cotton candy' and its great for an everyday, natural lip colour. The doe-foot applicator makes for precise application and once this dries it sets for a long lasting colour.
Kiehl's Midnight Recovery Concentrate
Since last Christmas I've used up two bottles of this and have this on my christmas wish list. This product worked wonders for my skin's texture, blemishes and clearing spots. Since trying this, I've noticed how poorly other spot / blemish gels perform compared with this as a more gentle way of clearing up my bad skin. If you struggle with bad skin but other methods haven't worked, I'd definitely urge you to give this a go.
Collection Lasting Perfection Concealer / REVIEW
Yes, its that concealer again. I love it too much for it not to feature. No other concealer I've tried from the high street provides the coverage for under eye circles that this does and is why I've used so many tubes of this and why I'd strongly urge you to try this.
Mac Mineralise Skin Finish 'Soft and Gentle' / REVIEW
Unheard of for many, I recently used up my second pan of this because I use it so much and haven't got round to buying another just yet [ so isn't photographed :( ]. This provides a beautiful glow to the cheeks, albeit this is very shimmery on the cheeks but the shimmer is finely milled and doesn't fall down onto your cheeks, a great blusher-bronzer-highlight hybrid.
Stila Eyes are the Window (Soul) Eyeshadow Palette / REVIEW
I was very fortunate to receive this palette back in April and instantly fell in love ( and hit pan on! ) the shades Kitten and Vitality and is a great alternative to the Naked Palette and has the quality to match. Buttery, bendable shadows that are long lasting and complement each other perfectly.
Garnier Micellar Water / REVIEW
I've tried a couple of different brands take on a micellar water, including a similar style makeup remover from Clarins yet I'll always go back to this as I know it works at removing my face and eye makeup and is almost always on offer. If you've tried a micellar water from the high street that works better than this then do let me know!
Rimmel Stay Matte Powder / REVIEW
Much like the Collection Concealer, this face powder is a regular feature on most blogs nowadays as a low maintenance, affordable non-cakey powder, I reached for this for most of 2015.
Thats all for today folks! I've probably missed out a really obvious choice and haven't dared to delve into make-up tools ( RT brushes mostly!)at risk of this post being too long. If you've written a similar post do leave it linked down below as I love to see what other products have made the yearly favourite 'cut'.
Happy New Year and all the best for 2016! x
P.S I wrote a similar style post a few months ago HERE
