Empties: Beauty Products I used Up in August and September

11:51

Today I thought that I was well overdue an empties post and as we are almost in October and are basically now on the countdown to Christmas ( where I try to use up as much as possible to leave room for new things!) I thought that I would show the items that are ready to chuck away and share my thoughts with you!

Derma V10 Q10 Toner - This is a product I have finished from the FABB bag. Although this did sometimes sting my skin when using it ( do not that my face is VERY sensisitve), when it didn't sting this worked as an excellent toner removing the last traces of dirt and grime from my face and also preventing spots with the witch hazel. If you can put up with your face feeling temporaily tight and dry after using this then this is a great budget toner that I will consider to repurchase.

Garnier 2 in 1 Makeup Remover- This is the complete opposite to the toner above as it is very oily. Although this worked excellently for removing eye makeup, mascara and makeup on your face, this was far too oily for me ( and I have dry skin) and instead of finding it soothing and moisturising found it greasy on my face and I had to remove the traces straight away with a toner or flannel. Unfortunately I shall not be repurchasing this but shall be returning to a standard cleanser or perhaps try the Loreal Micellar Water instead.
Lady Gaga Fame Perfume - I really loved the scent of this, especially as it reminded me of a more expensive perfume ( that I can't remember!). Although the scent didn't linger for more than 4-5 hours, this bottle lasted me for ages and didn't require too many sprays.

Wilkos Blackcurrant Shower Smoothie - I've never really tried a shower smoothie before but for me this was a great time saver as it was a shower gel and body scrub in one that smelt amazing and is also really cheap too!

Hawaiian Tropic Spf 50 Suncream- I recieved this suncream in my FABB goody bag and I was very impressed. Whilst the scent didn't last too far through the bottle, it felt like I was using body lotion every time I used this and the SPF 50 meant that I didn't get burnt either! If this was on offer I would repurchase.
The Body Shop Coconut Shower Cream - The smell of this was incredibly sweet and not to my usual taste however the shower gel lathered up really well with a loofer and left me feeling clean and refreshed.

The Body Shop Coconut Milk Body Lotion - I was surprised by how watery this lotion was and for that reason I ended up depotting it into a spray bottle ( much like the S&G girligo spray) and I am so glad I did as application was so much easier. The smell of this, like the shower cream, was very sweet but the smell lingered unlike many other lotions I have tried which was very impressive.

Superdug Away with the Fairies Dry Shampoo - This dry shampoo I was disappointed with from the start. It appears to spray clear but instead leaves white powdery-flakes in your hair which irritate my scalp. It also makes no difference to volume or improve the look of my greasy hair and for that I could not wait to toss it into the bin.

Batiste Dry Shampoo - I love Batiste and when this ran out and I had to reach for another brand in my collection I was not impressed as nothing performs as well as this does. Definite repurchase for me.

MUA Pro Base Fixing Mist - This was the first fixing mist I had tried and I was so impressed. It definitely made a difference to the lasting power of my makeup and I have since missed using this in my daily routine.

Accessorize Pearl Sands Bronzer Duo - I seem to have owned this for donkeys years and was so glad that I've finished this up. I used to love the highlighter side of this bronzer duo and also loved mixing both sides together however the bronzer side on its own can be very orangey so had been neglected up until the summer. This lasts well on the skin and is very easy to wear so I would definitely by a bronzer from Accessorize again.
Mac Studio Finish Concealer - I really loved this then neglected it. When my skin wasnt dry and I used it on my face ( and not under my eyes) this provided excellent coverage and wasn't drying however under my eyes this had a tendency to be drying and turn cakey. Despite it lasting me over 2 years using it frequently, I much prefer my collection and mac moisturecover concealer to this and probably would not rush to repurchase.

Boots Rough Skin Remover - I used this alongside my heel genius and found much better results from this as it got rid of the hard skin and left me with softer feet however I don't think that I would repurchase this as I much prefer just using my body scrubs.

Footner Exfoliating Socks - When I first tried these I loved the result and had never seen such a positive change to my feet but upon trying a second pair I hadn't seen a complete difference. This left the balls of my feet in much better condition but my heels are still left in a terrible way that I will continue to try and conquer.

Soap and Glory Heel Genius - I was underwelmed with this. For me it didn't seem to do much and therefore seemed to be wasteful using it. I am now on the hunt for a new heel cream!
Derma V10 Cocao Body Butter - I love this brand of body butter. Not only do these smell amazing, you only need a small amount and these are so moisturising for the price.

What have you used up recently?
