Hello! Today I thought that I would write a long overdue post - a post about me ! Seeing all these facts about me posts recently made my realise that my readers probably don't know that much about me and what better way to tell you all about me than I tag of 25 random facts!

Back last year in what seems an eternity ago (July) I reviewed and raved on about my favourite and faithful Boots Extra Large Cotton Wool Pads and promised that I would never use another brand or type of cotton wool. I've broken that promise. When my mum was out shopping last weekend I asked whether she could pick me up some cotton pads and she brought back these gems.

Unlike my previous favourites, these have rounded edges and don't come apart as easily. However, like the Boots ones, these are big enough to remove all of my face and eye makeup without falling apart in your fingers.

These retail for £2.50, which is cheaper than the Boots ones, and come with 60 cotton wool pads. They are also on 3 for 2 at the minute too!

Overall I love these cotton wool pads and would highly recommend them to anyone. If you liked the Boots cotton wool then I guarantee you will love these too!

A long long time ago ( back in summer 2011) I started a series called Best and Worst - highlighting my favourites and not so favourites from particular brands. Today I thought I would do a similar styles post to share my hits and misses from the infamous MAC.

Loves

MAC Concealers (Studio Finish, MAC Moisture cover and Pro Longwear) - REVIEW HERE

I have tried 3 concealer from MAC over the past couple of years and have not been disappointed. Each works great for blemishes ( particularly the studio finish with my RT deluxe crease brush), blend easily and last well on the skin. At around £14.50 each these aren't cheap but I know that I owned the moisturecover for around 12 months and still own the studio finish 18 months later so there is no doubt that you get your moneys worth.

 MAC Mineralize Skinfinish Natural

I haven't repurchased this product since I used it up over a year ago however that doesn't mean I didn't love it! I loved this light coverage and finish that this gave my skin. It also kept shine at bay throughout the day without being cakey on my face.

MAC 217 Eyeshadow Brush

I have owned this for a year now and ever since having this I don't think I have applied my eyeshadow without it. I use this for all over the lid colour and also blending. This washes eaily, doesn't shed and is generally a really useful and versatile brush.

MAC Bare Study Paint Pot

I again have owned this for a over a year and love this! Although I haven't, this could be used on its own or, as I use it, as a base for your eyeshadow. This doesn't crease and just makes your eyeshadows look so muh better

Despite loving these there are some products that I have tried that I love less so, nevertheless still use and don't completely hate them.

MAC Studio Sculpt and MAC Mineralize Creme Foundation

One thing that I like about these foundations is that they last all day and also match and cover well however I also find that foundations from Boots and Superdrug do the exact same job and are half of these price! MAC foundations unfortunately break me out and can look cakey which is annoying.

MAC Eyeshadows

I have tried these in Jest, All that Glitters, Naked Lunch, Brûlée and Kid. I like them, they last okay and are so so pigmented however I do not think they are worth the £10 price tag that each pan costs when I can get better eyeshadows from No7 for around a fiver.

MAC Soft and Gentle MSF

I must admit I was rather disappointed when I got this and tried this on my face. For me (and I have lighter than NW15 skin) this just does not show up on my face to give me the 'glowy look' that it seems to give everyone else. I much prefer my Accessorize highlighter. Despite this, I am loving it as an all over the lid eyeshadow where it doesn't crease and lasts all day. Thank goodness it was a shade I could use this way!

MAC Cream Colour Base - Pearl

I loved this, then I hated it, then I loved it again. Im still unsure whether I liked it or not. It was a lovely natural highlight, very dewy, however after an hour of so I saw that my foundation had come off everywhere where this had been applied as it had sort of melted it off -very strange!

Overall if you are going to MAC I would highly recommend you getting the 217 Brush, Bare Study Paint Pot and the concealers however I feel that their foundations and eyeshadows you can buy dupes for at much less of a price . As for the MSFs - make sure that you try them on in the store before buying and don't rely on a swatch like I did!

This has been raved and raved about recently. I must admit I am not overly keen on the sweet lime scent however this 'Super scrub' works wonders at getting rid of dry skin with the brown sugar and macadamia grains whilst moisturising the skin with almond oil. A little bit of this product goes a long way and isn't harsh in doing so. S&G say to use this 3 times a week but I love the results from this so much that it could be tempting to use this more frequently.

Today I bring to you a short review on my new favourite powder - Rimmel Stay Matte Powder. I have this in the shade translucent and love it. This retails for a bargainous £3.99 and is worth every penny.It isn't cakey, it keeps your face matte, it doesn't look ashy, it is translucent and suits my fair skin, keeps my skin shine free for longer than the 5 hours that it claims to and overall looks natural on the skin. If you haven't already tried this I highly advise you to as I love it.

Rimmel 107 Lipstick Review

Today I thought that I would share a current favourite lipstick of mine that I know has received much hype and, I will admit, is why I caved in and bought it. This lipstick retails for around the five pound mark and is very affordable - one of the cheaper ends of the high street spectrum however the quality does not reflect this. This lipstick, although a matte, is very creamy and smooth to apply on the lips and is not drying at all - especially great in the chapped lips season! The red berry colour is very pigmented and can be worn straight from the bullet to give an intense festive berry red or applied lightly with your finger for a subtle berry stain. Regardless of how this is applied you can guarantee that this will last on the lips for a few hours minimum even with eating and drinking. Overall I am highly impressed with this and definitely feel that this is worth the hype and if I see any more shades that I like from the range I will definitely be purchasing more.

I am a proud owner of an iPad and have done for just under a year and I love it. I use it for blogging, as I am now, reading blogs, watching youtube and of course playing a few games here and there. You may have noticed on iPads, and iPhones I believe, that there is a Newstand feature that means, if you spare your hard earned cash, you can get an e-version of your favourite magazines. Not one to like parting with cash for the sakes of a magazine on my iPad when it is cheaper instore, I was more than happy when I found out that PixiWoo have a magazine for your iPad that costs you nothing - no strings attached!

This magazine is great and is definitely more suited to me than the sakes of Company, Look and More, that, although they are great, do not satisfy my beauty product obsession.
