Drugstore Makeup Favourites

1. L’oreal True Match Foundation

I have become a fan of the L’oreal True Match Foundation recently, and love this foundation because of its medium coverage. If you are looking for a foundation for pale skin, this is probably one of the palest shades I have seen available and matches my pale skin extremely well. I was unaware when purchasing this, that the True Match Foundation has an extremely matte finish, which I don’t usually go for, but I have been enjoying using this as it gives a natural flawless look, if you put the effort into working with it to blend out the coverage. I’d urge you to start with a small amount and build up from there, to stop the foundation from looking cakey.

2. Colourworks Shimmer Blusher

I received this Colourworks Shimmer Blusher as part of a superdrug gift set at christmas. I wouldn’t recommend the brand of this product, mainly because the quality is not that great, but in a bid to use up my makeup and complete a Project Pan, I have been loving the pale pink colour of this blusher as it works as a great highlight.

3. Collection 2000 Illuminating Touch Concealer

collection 2000 illuminating touch concealer

I opted for the Collection 2000 Illuminating Touch Concealer, as I love this type of concealer applicator. Designed as a dupe for the YSL Touche Eclat, this concealer is great for under the eyes as it 'lightens & brightens'. It is really lightweight yet covers under eye shadows amazingly and blends really well. I’d definitely recommend this as one of the best drugstore concealers available.

4. Mac Mineralize Skinfinish Natural

I’m not sure why I haven't mentioned this MAC MSF Natural before. This has been my go-to face powder since January and I love it. It has a very light coverage that can be used as a setting powder or on its own if you are having a lazy day and again.I do find that it will wear off during the day but is so easy to touch up.

5. Max Factor False Lash Effect Mascara Waterproof ( Dupe for Covergirl Lash Blast )

I always end up going back to Max Factor’s False Lash Effect Mascara. It coats your lashes evenly and leaves you with long and volumized lashes, without being clumpy. If you are after a long lasting waterproof mascara this one is the way to go!

6. Simple Kind to Eyes Make Up Corrector Pen

I recently reviewed the Simple Kind to Eyes Makeup Corrector pen, and found that this is a very useful tool to have in my makeup bag to clear up quickly any eyeshadow blunders, without messing up the rest of my eye makeup. If you don’t want to spend £5 on this handy tool, a cotton bud dipped in eye makeup remover works equally as well.

7. Colourworks Eyeshadow Quad

Although I wouldn’t recommend the Colourworks makeup, it’s the colour of the shadows in this Colourworks Eyeshadow Quad that I have been loving, as they are natural and versatile. As you can see, the two paler shades have been well used and hopefully I will be able to find similar dupes from different drugstore brands to replace these in my collection.

8. Nivea Visage Pure & Natural Toner

Before trying Nivea Visage Pure & Natural Toner, I don't think I quite realised how poor makeup wipes were at removing makeup, and how much of my makeup is left on. This toner is really gentle on the skin and will remove every trace of make-up and is gentle on your eyes too! This has been my go-to for removing face make-up.

9. Simple Eye Make-up Remover.

I’ve recently rediscovered the Simple Eye Make-up Remover, especially when using my Max Factor False Lash Effect Waterproof Mascara. As the mascara is long lasting, it can be hard to remove with wipes or the toner, so more help is needed. This eye makeup remover from Simple is great to take off waterproof mascara and also is gentle on your eyes.

10. ELF Make-up Brushes

ELF Studio Powder Brush & ELF Bronzing Brush

I have been using this ELF Studio Powder Brush since January and am unsure why this wasn't in my previous favourites. This is great for powder and liquid products and has been ideal for applying foundation and leaving a flawless look.

I use this ELF Bronzing Brush for blush as it lets you only apply the product to a small area on the apples of my cheeks without fallout. I love this brush for blusher, but wouldn't recommend it for contouring though as I don't feel it is dense enough.
